Chyby při pěstování
- Nepřehánějte to se zálivkou
V lednu rostliny téměř nerostou. Není proto třeba je často zalévat. Pravidelně proto kontrolujte vlhkost substrátu a rostliny vždy zalijte až po jeho proschnutí.
- Dopřejte jim světlo
Pokojové květiny potřebují denní světlo, kterého ale přes zimu není dostatek. K tomu obvykle reagují změnou barvy listů – zesvětlají a zežloutnou, opadají nebo vyrostou dlouhé světle zelené výhonky. Pokud je to možné, husté záclony a tmavé závěsy nahraďte vzdušnějším materiálem.

Většině rostlin stačí v zimním období teplota mezi patnácti až dvaceti stupni. Především ty, které pocházejí ze subtropů, potřebují nižší teploty.
- Zatočte se škůdci
V zimě rostlinám hrozí vyšší riziko napadení škůdci a chorobami. Pozor si dejte hlavně na plísně a hniloby, které se v zimě často objevují.
- Pozor na vlhkost vzduchu
Přes zimu průběžně kontrolujte i vlhkost vzduchu. Kvůli nepřetržitému topení může být totiž nižší než obvykle. Dobrým pomocníkem vám mohou být vlhké kamínky, které umístíte na rostlině do misky.
- Čistěte listy
Z rostlin přes zimu také pravidelně odstraňujte prach, aby mohli lépe dýchat. Nejlépe celou rostlinu osprchujte vlažnou vodou a nechte ji ve vaně okapat.
- Nehnojte a nepřesazujte
Rostliny není vhodné v tomto období vegetačního klidu hnojit, hnojivo by totiž nezvládli zpracovat.
