Palivový mix energetických společností, tedy skladba zdrojů, ze kterých společnost energie pro své zákazníky vykupuje, nabývá s ohledem na aktuální vývoj na světových energetických trzích stále na větší důležitosti. Společnost E.ON Energie hospodařila v roce 2016 se ziskem po zdanění ve výši 1,45 mil. korun, což znamená meziroční nárůst o 583 mil. korun, provozní výsledek se zvýšil o necelých 480 mil. na 1,77 mld. korun.
Energetická skupina E.ON zásobuje v České republice prostřednictvím své více než 65.000 kilometrů dlouhé distribuční sítě elektřinou 1,5 milionu zákazníků, především z jižních Čech a jižní Moravy. Její tržní podíl v tomto sektoru činí asi 20 %. V oblasti plynu disponuje více než 4000 kilometrů dlouhou sítí a její podíl na trhu s plynem v České republice dosahuje přibližně 10,5 %.
